Diabloist

Note: This is the Advanced Guide to Diabloist, therefor will not cover basic information. All basic information can be found at Hero (http://www.rotg.co.uk/index.php?pageid=hero_diabloist) section.

Information
Diabloist is a hero of utter evil, he builds his joy on others pain, enjoys toying with his victim before destroying them completely. A player of Diabloist should have the same style as Diabloist, and should enjoy torturing other players til they "emoquit" or "ragequit".

Spells

Nether Blast

Main and only damage spell of Diabloist, this spell have a 50% slow (for both attack and movement speed) and good splash.
Useful for both creeping and PvP. High cost in mana and good damage. Can be used to slow the entire team for 2 second if used correctly.

Use this spell on first contact with enemy team, so cooldown can set resetting early, allow you to nuke over and over again with the help of Mass Siphon.

Note: The splash have a range of 200, and units hit by splash will be slowed by 50% too.

Warning : This spell have a BIG effect, but the actual splash is not that large, can be used to fool the weak-minded.

Mass Siphon

Powerful AOS mana sucking spell, sucks mana from unit in a cone, range on the cone is 850 (therefor can sucks mana from unit 850 away). Diabloist can only absorbs half of the mana drain.
Very useful when Diabloist runs low on mana or when anti-mage is needed. Diabloist can only absorbs half of the mana drain.
Little mana is absorb if hits only 1 target, while hitting 4 target can be fast mana refill.

Note:Mass Siphon only have a casting range of 450, but can hit units 850 away.

Diabolic Displacement

A spell that switch the location of the targeted unit and Diabloist, very useful for chasing enemy hero, or toying around. Diabolic Displacement also interrupt channelling, allowing Diabloist to fill in for anti-mage with Mass Siphon.

Switching loction with another unit (aka.enemy hero) when being net will work, you will be still net, but you swap loction with your target. Therefor when being net plus nuke, simply target someone and let him take the beating for you.

Use on your enemy when you are close to your team's tower, will fry him fast.
Other special strategies listed below.

Note: The spell is a little bit different from the hero section, swap location 0.5 second after spell is cast.

Dimensional Rift

Summon a Gataway at targeted point, have a small range of 300. Summoned demons aren't very strong, but still counted useful. Summons also have spell depanding on the level of this spell.
Lv 2. Succubus with curse.
Lv 3. Void Daemon with bash (good HP and damage)

Note: Gateway have Divine armor, reducing damages.

Skill Build

The skill build for this hero is much more fixed than other heros, due to high mana nuke, mana draining spell is a must have. Just switch point between nuke and Mass Siphon, and add a point to Diabolic Displacement when PvP start (for trapping and chasing/running).

Item Build

Diabloist is not really highly depanding on item, but some item can help. Armors are important if you are planning to use Diabolic Displacement in combat (as this often place you in werid place e.g behind enemy line), often making Diabolic forced to tank.

Item build.1 is meant to be chaser and often go behind the line to screw their formation (and mages). Therefor getting high speed and armor while mana early to nuke creep faster.

1. Pendant of Mana (Starting gear)
2. 1-use items (for fast creeping)
3. Boots of Speed (speed, best have before first team battle, Note: Upgrade to Waterwalk Boots when you can.)
4. Moonglade Armour (getting this armor for some speed and some armor to tank)
4a. Spellshatter Armour (if the other team have many mages.
5. Armour Upgrade
6. Sword of Destruction (anti-mage)
7. Amulet of Power (more mana to nuke and more nuke)
8. Saruman's Palantir (for spying and +int for more nukes.)
8a. Blessed Armour (when enemy have lots of mages/nukes.)

Item Build.2 is meant for nuking more, therefor lacks tanking item.

1. Pendant of Mana
2. 1-use items (for fast creeping)
3. Armour of Brilliance
4. Hellfire Staff
5. The Black Amulet
6. Mana Boost Upgrade (Due to Mass Siphon, regraining mana is not hard, but you need room to drain more mana)
7. Magic Resistance Upgrade/Armour Upgrade (Depanding on enemy hero)

Note: Item build is never set in stone. Change it depanding on what you need.

Strategies

Diabloist with it's muti anti-mage spell, can be used to drain away mage's mana preventing spells from being cast, or can use Diabolic Displacement to cancel spells (must be used 0.5s before enemy's cast finish casting/channeling.). And with a power nuke plus slow, Diabloist is awesome at PvP.

Nuke often and sucks mana. Use your summons to tank at early level, while higher level gives them more purpose to summons.

AOE of Nether Blast, the effect looks big, but it's not really that big.

Last Word

You should not follow this guide step by step during play, as flexibility is important, you should react to the situation, not just follow the guide step by step. You are recommend to try it yourself than just follow this guide, as this guide is just my personal experience, and may not suit your style.

Just to let you know, the level 12 & level 18 summons from the daemon gate have abilities you can use!
At lvl 2nd level ultimate you get succubuses with curse and at 18 you get fiends with high hp, damage and bash!

thanks, I was still spending time playing that hero, the best move I ever did was trap a player up somewhere unreachable, other than that, there's nothing hard about this hero.

In response to this it should not be possible to displace an enemy into a location from which they cannot escape. If these locations are highlighted this will be fixed.

I have trapped a good number of players into unreachable places, or displace enemy into their own nukes, it is possible, but people often avoid them.

Eventhough the guide exploits some minor bugs, information-wise it's a very rich and beautiful guide.

To bad the screenshots aren't uploaded yet, or my pc just hates you.

Either way,
Congratulations!
