What do you normally do when you host?

I was wondering if anyone else had better luck than me when hosting pubs (with lots of noobs.)?

Normally I get delay reducer, auto refresh (the one from dl page), and I told first timer to download off rotg.co.uk, during game play, I answer their questions, teachs them how to not get own, all friendly and all, but yet they leave after a death or 2.

I do the exact same thing you do, except the title for the game is usually Requiem of the Gods Hero Arena! or ROTG HERO ARENA! NOW! or HeroAren Noobs come!

Now, usually I have to host the game 4-6 times in order to get a 2v2 or 3v3 going. 4v4s are out of the question. I explain all questions they have though I don't use autorefresh/delay reducer=I tryed to download Steel's one, but it did not work-maybe cause I have Windows Vista.

So, the new players see the message that I reached level 6 while they are still level 2-4 and say OMG and such. Now, one of them usually leave- first titan killed by me and ritual grabbed, all of them leave. GG

thats a usual reaction in noobish games, all you can try to do is educate folks or refs games where they are all noob, - i find that works quite well..ish.

Your efforts to host are greatly apprceiated though, i know how much of an uphill struggle it can be.

As a + though from what ive seen there is a small community of good palyers building ive actually lost to a few teams before.

Try delay reducer, it helps normally, and try not to overkill or stuff XD. I find it really hard myself sometimes, but I found other rotg player on my server, his helping me:D
