I had been wondering about this for some time already, why didn't we have many active member? The map is very well made, and yet there is little member at this site. Why? I think we are missing something, but what?

I got an email today from a french computer games mag asking for my permission to put ROTG on thier cover disc, so maybe people are noticing..

but the forum is very cold.... I found a few ROTG lovers on my server, but none ever post here.

Well, this forum has almost no daily posters- I am planning to do another guide on Arch Druid or something for the heck of it.

Although most visitors here already know how to play ROTG well...

I say use hiveworkshop as a conduit for members here- it is a huge community. . .

(Or, I can make several acounts and post on all of them, creating the illusion that there are a lot of members here. More people join as members if the forums have plentiful posters.)

Kidding about the last suggestion.

hiveworkshop might be a big community but rotg isn't update often, so it stays at the bottom of the map section. If rotg is update often, the dl time would probly kill some players (again?)

I think Iwould put rotg and map link in my sig at hive, maybe scream about it in teh chat (done that b4 got kicked XD)

I host RotG tournies around here with somewhat succes, and I've been asking several of the teams / players why they don't use the forum (more than they might do) and it's basically because the general info about the map, the heroes etc on the site is so wellread, that they don't really feel the need to sit down and spend time in the forum, writing.. waiting for anwers etc...

Whatever question they might need answered, they're able to look through the site in silence as a lot is already written in the different menues here.

And people seem to be able to improve themselves with just playing and playing.. practise above theory etc..

One might suggest that people, who didn¨t need help helped others, but as you say, most in here are just looking for a decent game/decent opponents... So I guess.. what we lack is a bigger community in the realms, instead of having to teach people how to play first in every game.. as the map aint exactly noob-friendly imo. -Which I don't mind...

Damn! Sites too informative!
You just can't win!
Nah, more actual players would mean more folks on here, its really that simple.

Lol yea well in short thats the conclusion. But theres a huge difference in playing when you can actually stand next to the guy and help instead doing it ingame...

Why bother create an acc.. find treads.. define what you're looking for.. etc when you can use the menues in top to get the answer you want? :)

Hows the FFA mode going? Think it'll help a lot since it eliminates the whole 'noob team' excuse xD

once again I bring up member/post count only guide/info. It will force lazy bums to post, although this might be against the purpose of the site. It's a shortcut to bigger community.

The end will justifies the means.

P.S Yay for posts on non-weekends.

The FFA one is standing still right now,
mainly because ive moved house and upped hours at work that has caused chaos, next time i fell like being creative i'll carry on with it, also it has some annoyign issues I can't seem to fix.

You might consider putting rotg ffa into "Map Development" section or hive (and some other site) as a way to "Advertise" rotg.

Yes, that would be a great idea. Hive has many many members- and ROTG is already held in high esteem there- an FFA would incite more people to actually play the hero arena that started it all.

As I recall RotG already has it's own section at The Hive? -Or am I misunderstanding somethin? (Probably lol)
