OK, I am really glad to hear the new map is released, now I beg you please, if you would like your map to be played by people, look into a program called ghost++ http://mm2knet.de/ghost/index.php?title=Main_Page, which is an automatic hosting bot, which will host custom games on bnet 24/7 on your system (if you want).

This utility will allow:

1) People to SEE the map, continually hosted. This will spike curiousity.

2) Download the map through bnet or by auto messaging within the game chan your web site (your choice or both).

3) Play the map!

I really recommend you take this extra step in building a community of players around your map!

Keep in mind that Ghost++ is a third party program. Blizzard has in the last couple of months taken action against 'softer' programs such as VCK (Visual Custom Kick) and bot in general (Stealthbot etc), which has caused warnings on VCK's website about using their program.

On Blizzard's forum, representatives of Blizzard has stated very clearly that no matter what the intention of the program is - even if it's to make the game better for all - they will not allow it.

Alright. This is something I wanted to do last year, but the elitist "im so brilliant" folks that had access to the software refused to share it, or code it for anything but Dota.

Now however it seems far more open source, after playing with the .cfgs for a day Im pelased to report back that automatic hosting for ROTG now does indeed work.
Soon i'll post the .cfg file for it, then ill host some "auto games".

And another thing, if you want to autohosted so badly why not do it yourself? Virtually any firewall can be made warcraft friendly now.

Awesome, I really think this will help you build a community of players! As you say, there are a BUNCH of DOTA bots active right now, as well as a couple Battle Tanks bots, and so on....man, this map is so well done, I don't see why this won't be more popular...

And another thing, if you want to autohosted so badly why not do it yourself? Virtually any firewall can be made warcraft friendly now.

The short answer to that is, I don't have a very good internet connection (very restricted upstream capability), and a laggy bot is even worse for the cause than no bot at all....

Testing it now, been seems we can host 2-3 games at once.
