View Full Version : RotG on hamachi
Hello,
We (my bro and I) found this map not long ago and we like it very much. However, we found out that the AI is not much of a challenge, so we decided to try to play on hamachi with other players. We are not pros, we just like the map and want to play against real opponents.
Name: Requiem of the Gods
password: rotg
Come and let's play! :)
And if there's some known medium besides hamachi where RotG is played, please tell us; it'd be a great fun to play against human opponents.
Also, I'd like to say thanks to you, Steelb_l_ade, for making such a great map!! It would really deserve greater player base..

Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoy it, Although to be fair im nto certain where gaming communities of it might exist for you to get easy games. Battlenet with some kind of hosting bot probably.
Anyway, if people in the game cant deal with the long download times they can always download it from this site faster.
Wow, fast reply! To be honest, battle.net does not let us in, that's why we're looking for some alternative, and it's ok for us even to play with some more skilled players too, only for the game:)
Btw, are you still upgrading the game, or is it finalized as it is? (for example, I've read something about an FFA-mode around here somewhere, and that too sounds like fun)
Anyway, thanks for your time
I host a game on Garena once in a while, if you are interested let me know. Garena name is Ornerok
Thanks for the reply! I will install Garena, so we can play. :)

Glad to see folks are getting some enjoyment out of it.
Is it finilised?..
Well,
Maybe.
Depends wether bnet's upload rate improves significantly when battle net 2.0 launches and how that impacts it.
If anything changes that breaks the game entirely, yes i'll probably retify it.
if the upload rate gets better so folks can download it faster i migth do some more work on it in future, but as you can see by teh changelog its had huge amounts of work done on its balance so nothing should be too out of whack anyway.
The FFA version wasnt continued, but i did port some of the newer FFA systems into the orginal to make this latest version thats here now.
The one on here is superior to teh FFA one I was developing anyway .

what time do everyone plays on hamachi? since i don't use b.net too, I normally play on a PVPGN server or Garena
Well, since there is no one on hamachi, it is hard to say anything.. but we live in Hungary (GMT+1) and we can play often.

The battlenet system in SC2 is horrible.... and the custom games have been screwed over... the whole system devolved and that's why I am back to warcraft 3. Nice to see you again Steelblade and Chenlimin.
