General Summary

Ravagore, is the warmachine that can rule the game. However, he is haunted by a handicap, that's his degen imba.... Key to the hero is slow max HP but high seperate regen and high raw damage attained by weapons... Another important thing is attackspeed and movementspeed. This hero has great potential and must be played the right way to succeed.

The Truth about Ravagore

There is a reason Ravagore is put as 'Expert'. And I'll tell it.

Ravagore is all about knowing the game, you need no knowledge about the hero, except that your hp degens all the time and basic knowledge about skills. Anyways; This hero is the one that's desperate to have the upper hand, because if not, he'll lose due to his handicap. What do you need to know? You need to know how to use summons, nets, potions, and good itembuilds. There are many options for ravagore, but you need the two key aspects of Ravagore:

Defense - HP Regen and Armor/Damage Reduction.
Offense - Damage from raw damage.

Why not use strength? If you read the skill, it says that decreases from your max hp. That is why you don't use strength, because strength gives hp, you don't need it. To be honest, Ravagore has the best upperhand before he starts skilling up on 'Stats', so that's just some information. It's always allowed to experiment though, but theoretically, it's bad to have strength. Base damage can be gained through killing heroes and exploiting "Hero Souls".

Behaviour

Behavious is everything in this game. If you care about the game, you'll win. First lesson is 'Micromanaging'. This is a term that developed from Ladder Games and is used in all games where we manage units. Anyways, in maps where you have a hero, there's one easy policy, do not die at all costs. This means that you'll run with your hero when his HP is low. Behaviour in RotG is all about knowing the game, how much dmg can the enemy do to you? And will you be able to kill before you get killed? Anyways, the basic rule is to run when you see danger coming. This is the simple rule of surviving RotG.

Killing in RotG, is a trick that few players have yet mastered. Because the opponement usually runs when you come, it's always best to stay a few steps ahead of them, use items like Nets, Stunning hammers, and disabling abilities to keep the enemy from running. Intelligence is also important, if you know an enemy is doing a titan, rush to him, and kill him before he manages to escape. Many titans have slow/disable and will probably help you kill your foe.

That was some general information. Now I'll do in-dept about Ravagore. About the survival bit: Ravagore is about the same as everyone else, but you'll have to think two steps ahead. Watch your HP, watch your minimap, keep from danger and get to your base before you die.

Killing with Ravagore is the hard part, he lacks disable, and therefore you'll probably want to bring with you disable items, or slowing items, like venom enchantments and frost enchantments, even lightning things on your items, but most important of all, cheap consumables.

Spells: Ravagores weakpoints are spells, watch your health, many heroes have high-damaging spells with disable, this you do not like, consider bringing a potion if your enemy is too strong.

Ravagore's Abilities

I'll start with Frenzy. This ability is the one that should be taken most into consideration. Heads on with 1 other hero, it'll give you the upper hand, however, fighting alone vs. many other heroes, it's not recommended at all, especially if they have the firepower to kill you before you're able to kill them >.<. To be honest, it gives you alot of advantages when chasing, killing and running away. In any situation nobody can really do you any harm is a situation to use frenzy.

Rabid Bite. Not much to say about this one, might be useful, but nothing much you should care much about. I can't yet say if you earn anything on having it. Depending on the situation, if it's alot of running around, maybe it's useful. It's not a killer though, but gives you a slight extra damage per second.

Devour Flesh. Not much to say about this one either, use it at safe situation, while you creep. Decreases the speed of your xp'ing but increases the safeness. PLaying against bad players will allow you to drop using this, however, against experienced players, you might want to use it. A good enemy, and at high levels, RotG becomes about exploiting weaknesses of the enemy, means if you run around with low hp, you'll be easily killed.

Savage Fury! This is your ultimate, or 'level 6 skill'. Anyways, this one is a good one, and I only have 2 things to point out, it gives you an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage is your new skills and movementspeed. Anyways, this skill 'Rending Claw' kinda disables the enemy, making them lose movement speed and attackspeed. Anyways, the disadvantage is not bad at all, you get extra hp, and therefore degens slightly more. It's nothing to make a big deal, just saying it so you know, most likely you'll regen more than you get hurt while in this state and using frenzy, unless you're really underpowered.

Itemsbuilds

Not yet finished.

where's the item build, and should I get speed first or damage?

Damage and Movement Speed first I'd think... Survivability, go mass armour.

Personally I go with dmg first, spikey flail maybe to make the most of lifesteal and taking down single targets for food.

would crit/bash (adds damage on % ones) steal life?
