"Thrugg The Strong"
Barbarian
By Aixu

The Barbarian is a tough melee hero that's capable of holding his own vs most of the other heroes due to his powerful Decapitate spell.
His real strength comes from the ability to hire Mercenaries out cheaply and steal money for other players.
This allows him to have plenty of gold leftover to buy items.

- Ok this is my first guide, and it might be different from what you all use on him (or not). But I like to play this. enjoy.

Basic Information

Strength= 21+2.4/level
Agility= 16+1.9/level
Intelligence= 13+1.7/level
Movement Speed= 290
Base Damage= 23~33

Skills

In the Barbarian society the strong take what they want from the weak.
Barbarians therefore think nothing of beating their enemies to a pulp and taking their gold.
Delivers a strong punch to a single target enemy that deals 75 damage and leaves the target stunned.
If used on an enemy player's hero some of their gold is stolen and given to the Barbarian however you cannot steal gold though if the target player has none.

Level 1 : Deals 75 damage, stuns target for 0.8 seconds and steals 25 gold from enemy hero. Requires hero level 1.
Level 2 : Deals 75 damage, stuns target for 1.2 seconds and steals 35 gold from enemy hero. Requires hero level 3.
Level 3 : Deals 75 damage, stuns target for 1.4 seconds and steals 45 gold from enemy hero. Requires hero level 5.
Level 4 : Deals 75 damage, stuns target for 1.6 seconds and steals 55 gold from enemy hero. Requires hero level 7.

Barbarians often hire themselves out as mercenaries and are well known by mercenary contractors.
They often enjoy generous discounts from these dubious characters and are often accompanied by a string of trainee mercenaries hoping to learn from them.
Grants a refund on the Gold cost of purchasing Mercenary Soldiers, Archers & Spearmen contracts.
In order to make use of this ability the Barbarian must have enough gold to initially purchase the contract in the first place, the discount is applied afterwards.

Level 1 : Grants a 10% refund on the gold cost of mercenary contracts. Requires hero level 1.
Level 2 : Grants a 25% refund on the gold cost of mercenary contracts. Requires hero level 3.
Level 3 : Grants a 50% refund on the gold cost of mercenary contracts. Requires hero level 5.
Level 4 : Grants a 75% refund on the gold cost of mercenary contracts. Requires hero level 7.

Barbarians are natural fighters and spend most of their lives involved in some kind of combat.
Nomadic in nature, they endlessly roam the world learning new fighting skills and selling them on to the highest bidders.
Barbarians therefore have something to teach almost anyone in the terms of beating an opponent and make useful trainers.
Fighting Prowess increases the base damage of all friendly units within a 550 radius centered on the Barbarian.

Level 1 : Grants all allies within 550 radius 7% increase in base damage. Requires hero level 1.
Level 2 : Grants all allies within 550 radius 10% increase in base damage. Requires hero level 3.
Level 3 : Grants all allies within 550 radius 13% increase in base damage. Requires hero level 5.
Level 4 : Grants all allies within 550 radius 16% increase in base damage. Requires hero level 7.

Barbarians are brutal fighters and use their huge strength to smash their enemies apart with huge cleaving strikes from their weapons.
Many an over-confident duellist has been cut in half by an angry Barbarian in fighting bouts that have become one of the most popular village spectacles available to the local peasantry.
Inflicts a deadly melee attack on an single target enemy that deals heavy damage.

Level 1 : Deals 350 damage to a single target. Requires hero level 6.
Level 2 : Deals 450 damage to a single target. Requires hero level 12.
Level 3 : Deals 550 damage to a single target. Requires hero level 18.

Skill Build
Level 1= Fighting Prowess
Level 2= Mug
Level 3= Fighting Prowess
Level 4= Mug
Level 5= Fighting Prowess
Level 6= Decapitate
Level 7= Fighting Prowess
Level 8= Mug
Level 9= Mug
Level 10= Divine Blessing
Level 11= Divine Blessing
Level 12= Decapitate
Level 13~17= Divine Blessing
Level 18= Decapitate
Level 19= Divine Blessing
Level 20= Divine Blessing
Level 21= Divine Blessing
Level 22~25= Rogue

Skill Build Justification
Yes, Rogue is a skill that makes it very easy for Barbarian to farm.
So why didn't I get it? A very simple reason: By maxing Fighting Prowess first,
My base damage gets a boost, and thus a advantage in early-game for you and your team. Mug is skilled for the stun, and stealing money from enemy heroes. After that I maxed out Divine Blessing before Rogue because at level 10 you can kill most creeps solo so Rogue becomes useless.

Item Build
Final Items
Hydra Blade - Lifesteal Enchanted
The Black Amulet - Vitality Enchanted
Cursed Armour
Waterwalk Boots
The Black Hand
Titan Orb(Optional)

Final Items Justification
Hydra Blade is to increase your damage per second, and the LifeSteal enchant is to tank. Amulet and Armour are for, well armour, and to tank melee units. Waterwalk Boots is to increase your movement speed, and the little ammount of Agility increases your dps a bit more. Blach Hand is to increase damage further, and so is Titan Orb.
You should get as many pieces of Titan Orb as you can.
Consider asking your teammates for their pieces, why?
With it your +damage will run up to +111, which makes Barbarian a true killing machine because of Decapitate, and the regeneration helps him tanking.
He gets Argonax down very fast (solo).

Item Order
1. Spiked Flail. (700 gold)
2. Boots of Speed. (350 gold + 20 wood)
3. Hydra Blade and Enchant it. (4000 gold + 370 wood)
4. Cursed Armour. (1500 gold + 80 wood)
5. The Black Hand. (1000 gold)
6. The Black Amulet and Enchant it. (3000 gold + 200 wood)
7. Waterwalk Boots. (2000 gold + 150 wood)

Your purpose
Basicly what you do with this build is tank away enough hp for Decapitate to kill. It can be used to take down Titans too since the IAS, stun and LifeSteal makes you a kick-ass tank/Titan-slayer.

Gameplay
Coming Up! (Need to get Image-Rule Fixed)

That's All folks!
I hope you enjoyed my first guide, and I hope you enjoy playing Barbarian like I do.

Hehe well I play on a program called 'Garena' ( don't know if you know it) It kinda makes every pc connected to it 'think' it's in a LAN connection. and some random guy just popped up and wanted people to come try your map, and I'm trying to get more people there to play it but everyone is so hooked on DotA lol.

*Just felt a urge to read all guide*

I want to say that, summon (mechs) early game is really strong, and rogue early game can make it fast farming, and maybe a hero kill or 2 if lucky.

aye, but having max stun + some extra damage + ulti gives you alot of kills early on too.. But go whichever 'way' you like.. I just like this way ^^
