Periodically we will be holding an inter-clan knockout tournament to
determine the team clan champions. The tournament will be started when
enough active members wish to participate in it. (At least 16 Players) This will be done in the
format of a 2vs2 tournament with the participants matched up
against each other. For the 2v2 Tournament I am now changing the way the
matchups work. Because these 2v2 tournaments never really take off as it
seems very difficult to actually get the 4 people that our supposed to
play on at the same time, once the teams are chosen and written up
any team may play any other team in the same round that has not already
played.
This means as soon as two teams that haven't played come online they may
have their tournament game immediately instead of waiting for their
exact matchup to login. This is effective immediately. Its also worth
nothing these tournaments will go on as long as is needed and run in
parallel to any other tournaments being run. For each new Tournament the map will be specified
for each round rotating with every tournament. Games are in a 2vs2 format
with team-mates being chosen at the beginning of the tournament. You may
choose your own team-mates but once chosen and entered must remain in
the same team until the end of the tournament. Games may be replayed only on basis of a
connection failure and then only if both of your opponents (the players who did not
disconnect) agrees to a rematch. Players will have one week from the
starting date of the tournament to complete their round one games. After
the week has expired any round one games that have yet to be played will
be instantly forfeited by the teams that didn't show.
Tournament maps are decided at the beginning of the tournament
and will be displayed below so you can see what the maps are before you
sign up for it.
Only games played using these maps will count. So all round 1
games are played on the round 1 map and all round 2 games are played on
the round 2 map etc.
Leaving the clan will also result in elimination from the tournament and
a free win to the opponent as this is
an inter-clan tournament after all. The first round will consist of
the teams randomly matched up against each other. Each win will
count as one point for the winning team and a loss
will count as zero points.
If your team-mate leaves the clan or is kicked you may re-pick a new
partners from any members to currently included in the tournament to
replace your removed partner.
Teams will fight each
other in a series of 2vs2 knockout games until a winning team of the tournament
has been decided.
It is also worth noting that no games in round 2 can be played until all
the games in round one have been completed. This is also true for round
3 and onwards.
This tournament is a Random Races Tournament. All players MUST
use Random Races.
It is also worth noting that teams may use "shared unit control" and may
share resources if they wish. They may also use Skype, Teamspeak or
other voice chat programs to communicate if they like but they must NOT
also be on Skype/Ts with their enemies!
Other People may observe games being played but must NOT be on Skype/Msn/Teamspeak
or any other instant messenger or communication program with ANY of the
people playing.
This is to prevent observers from giving away game information to the
players and therefore fixing the game. If any observers attempt to
inform you of game information this should be reported to a leader at
once.
It is
also worth noting you are NOT allowed to get other people to play
your games for you by letting them login to your account. This is
considered exactly the same as cheating and is not in synch with the
"have fun" spirit of these tournaments and will result in an instant
kick.
These tournaments are designed for the fun and enjoyment of the members
and bickering bout technicalities will result in future tournaments
being closed off.
It is worth noting that of course no cheats or hacks of any kind are
permitted and the use of any such software within this clan results in
an Instant kick & reporting to blizzard entertainment.
